Piano Congress - Meet the Piano
The first congress in 2022 the theme of the congress was set on a timeline "Piano - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow." On the other hand, in 2025 we plan to bring the essence of this instrument closer under the "Get to know the piano" slogan. We realize that, that although the first piano was created more than 300 years ago, it still remains a mysterious instrument for many instrument. Therefore, PIANO CONGRESS 2025 will aimed at bringing the piano closer to its users.
Piano Congress 2025 will be held at the Polish History Museum, which has spaces that allow for adequate exposure of exhibitors and to hold lectures and concerts. And the very concept of the Congress, with a seminar and exhibition, in a beautiful and modern space, will perfectly fit in with the event that will be the XIX International Chopin Competition this October.

Piano Congress - Celebration of the Piano
Warsaw from September 2 - 4, 2022 became the most important place in the world for piano tuners, refinishers and manufacturers. The Piano Congress, whose slogan was "The Piano - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow," was held during those days. The event, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, was attended by more than 300 participants from 4 continents. We hosted 30 exhibitors, including tuners, instrument and instrument manufacturers, restorers and dealers. Our guests attended nearly 50 events organized as part of the combined congress of the Union of European Piano Builders Associations "Europiano" and the convention of the International Association of Pianists and Technicians (IAPBT).
The Piano Congress was organized by the Association of Polish Piano Tuners together with the Association of European Piano Builders Associations "Europiano" and the International Association of Pianists and Technicians (IAPBT), and the co-organizer - the Fryderyk Chopin Institute.
Piano Congress, as an important cultural event, received the honorary patronage of Prof. Piotr Glinski, Deputy Prime Minister of Poland and Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
The congress featured 26 speakers from around the world. Their seminars and workshops addressed the congress theme "The Piano of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow."
"The piano of yesterday" is historical instruments. The National Fryderyk Chopin Institute was a partner in this issue and organized an inaugural concert on historical instruments at the Royal Castle. Also at the invitation of the National Fryderyk Chopin Institute, leading theorists and restorers dealing with pianos from Chopin's era came to Warsaw.
"Piano Today" is about contemporary instruments. It is a space that has been occupied by representatives of piano manufacturers, spare parts suppliers and experienced instrument tuning professionals.
"Tomorrow's Piano", or instrument restoration. A field that gives new life to used pianos and grand pianos through a general overhaul, rebuilding the instrument from scratch. In Kalisz, on the foundations of the pre-war piano and upright piano factory "Arnold Fibiger" and later "Calisia", the world's largest piano renovation basin was established. During the congress, representatives of restoration companies from Kalisz spoke about the technologies used in the restoration of instruments.
During the Piano Congress there was a special screening of the film "Soul Enchanted in a Piano," directed by Judyta Fibiger, granddaughter of the last owner of the Arnold Fibiger piano and piano factory. Judith and her mother Elwira Fibiger attended and supported the Piano Congress.
